Preserve Moss Installation by Terramist Studio
The concept draws from the idea of nature frozen in a moment of silence a fragment of untouched landscape translated into a refined interior surface. Instead of building a flat “green wall,” we imagined the piece as a cinematic frame: moss rising and falling in gentle contours, like terrain shaped by time, shadow and light. The inspiration came from shaded forest cliffs and moss-covered stones, where life grows slowly, undisturbed, and endlessly rich in detail.
Design & Composition
The composition is built in layers, starting with the overall silhouette that anchors the piece within the architecture of the room. From there, we introduced varying densities of preserved moss to create depth denser, darker regions where the eye can rest, and lighter open pockets that allow breathing space.
